Born precocious,Ervin Nil A. Temporal, a proud and regionalistic native of Davao City, started his kindergarten education at the age of 3 at the University of the Immaculate Conception. In the same institution, he spent 6 years of primary learning. In high school, he stood out from the rest as he became the youngest radio anchor of DXRP Radyo ng Bayan Dabaw at age 13. Also, he became a frontliner of 19 civic organizations in Davao City. Holding the most crucial positions in all of these made him the Most Outstanding Youth of Davao City. True to the expectations of many, he graduated from the same university at the age of 15 and was recognized as the Class Valedictorian with 22 awards.
He initially studied in the University of the Philippines in Mindanao aspiring for a degree in Communication Arts. Two semesters transpired and he earned the highest general weighted average in the history of UP Mindanao. This elevated him as the top student of UP Mindanao for that semester. His record has been challenged by hopefuls but to no avail. To pursue a career in Mass Communication, he decided to transfer to the University of the Philippines in Diliman to take up Communication Research.
To augment the meager money, he ended up being a working student for the lack of a better option. That was when he first taught IELTS at an IELTS Review Center in the morning. While he would attend classes in the afternoon, he would spend the next four hours from 6:00pm to 10:00pm to educate Koreans in English. On weekends, he functioned primarily as a data gatherer and data encoder at Hieros Research Group.
In spite of working like a horse with four jobs while in school, he managed to get four flat ones (1.0) in a semester that resulted in him being inducted to the Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Highest International Honor Society when he was only in third year college. Pi Gamma Mu and Phi Kappa Phi are exclusive circles of intellectuals; members include majority of senators, congressmen and key officials in government. Due to his exceptional scholastic achievement, he earned a Magna cum Laude standing in his course, BA Communication Research (a quota course offered in the University of the Philippines). He earned the highest GWA among the graduates of the College of Mass Communication.
As one of the pioneers in the IELTS Review in the country, he taught in IELTS Review Centers then responded to God’s call for him to put up his own IELTS Review Center, 9.0 NINER. Now at 27 years old, he manages 30 branches of 9.0 NINER IELTS Review Center. He is also an investor of visa consultancies like ENT Immigration Consultancy Services, Canadian Immigration Specialists (CIS) in Buendia, Makati, Commonwealth Visa Experts for New Zealand (CVE) in Quezon City, and AMS Global for Australia (AMS) in Salcedo, Makati. He also opened an online review company, EZ9 Online Review Services for IELTS, TOEFL-iBT, OET, PTE.
Mr. Temporal was also awarded as DISTUINGUISHED ALUMNUS of the University of the Philippines for his extraordinary accomplishments at such a young age.
